President׳s Pillars

Donor signs for Ben Gurion University

The President׳s Pillars at the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev was designed by landscape architect Shlomo Aronson in the mid-1990s.
Keeping in mind the need for updating donors’ names, cement boards coated with a thin layer of colored pigment were used. The graphics on the boards were laser-engraved and filled with color. The typeface selected for this project was Gilsans, an elegant, classic type that seemed appropriate for donor signage.
