The Solid State Institute is a research center within the Technion– Israel Institute of Technology, in Haifa. It is housed in a modernist building, designed in the 1970s by Zarhy Architects. It was renovated in 2016, by the same architectural firm, to provide more space for the much-enlarged institute.
The design of the signage system, both exterior and interior, was minimalistic, with significant use of color-coding for the different floors of the building.
